ELIGIBILITY:
• Artists over 18 years of age.
• Entries accepted from Bucks, Burlington, Camden, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, New Castle, Philadelphia & Salem counties

MEDIA ACCEPTED:
Artist books, drawing, photography, and prints.

LIMITATIONS:
All 2D work must be framed with secure hanging devices ready to install, except for book arts. The Friends of the Print & Picture Collection reserve the right to reject work that differs from submitted images.

FEES:
There is a non-refundable fee of $25.00, which includes a year’s membership to the Friends of the Print & Picture Collection. Current Friends of PIX should send a $10 submission fee. Checks should be made payable to Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. Credit card payment is available. Membership is required for submission eligibility.

TERMS: All submissions are in a digital format, see entry guidelines. All sales of artwork handled by the artist.

PURCHASE PRIZE:
The Print & Picture Collection will purchase a work of art from each artist selected to exhibit, to value of $400.

Call for Book and Paper Artists
Shin Jidai: Contemporary Japanese Book and Paper Arts
Minnesota Center for Book Arts (Minneapolis, MN)

Submission Deadline: March 4, 2012

Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) seeks art to be included in a juried exhibition of contemporary Japanese book and paper arts. The exhibition will be on display in MCBA's Star Tribune Foundation Gallery from May 19 through July 15, 2012. Eligible work may include, but is not limited to: sumi-e, calligraphy, origami, kirie (paper-cutting) moku hanga (Japanese watercolor woodcut prints,) handmade paper, hand bookbinding, or any paper-based work that upholds the traditions of Japanese book and paper arts.

There is no entry or participation fee. Selected artists will be responsible for all shipping costs. While on view at MCBA's gallery, all work will be fully insured.

Email your submission(s) to MCBA Exhibitions Manager Joanne Price (jprice@mnbookarts.org). Use "Shin Jidai" as the subject line of your email. Artists are welcome to submit multiple works, but each submission must be sent in a separate email. Your email must include:

A one-page Word or PDF document containing:
- Name of artist(s)
- Mailing address
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Title of work
- Medium/materials
- Dimensions
- Year completed
- Any special installation considerations or other descriptive information you feel is necessary to fully appreciate the work

Up to three (3) digital images per work.
Images should be JPG format, 72dpi resolution, with longest dimension at 900 pixels.

Selected artists will be informed by April 2, 2012.
Selected work must be delivered by May 4, 2012.
Work will be returned by August 31, 2012.

Call for Book and Print Artists
Upcycled Art
Atelier 6000 (Bend, OR)

Deadline: March 16, 2012

One person’s trash is another's treasure. "Upcycled Art" will feature artwork created from what some may consider waste giving the items a new lease on life. This exhibition highlights artists aiming at good usable design and real beauty taking the notion of reprocessing and conservation to a new height in original prints from collagraphic plates of found objects, as well as 2D and 3D mixed media art to create Upcycled Art. All artworks entered must be for sale. Entry Fee: $35.00 to submit up to three images.

Call for Entries for a Juried Exhibition - "In, On, Of Paper"
Paper Circle in Nelsonville, Ohio.
May 25, 2012 – August 1, 2012.

Deadline: April 6, 2012

Entry is open to any original work in, on, or of paper including handmade paper, paper sculpture, artist's books, cut paper, stitched paper or works on paper. This year's juror is Eileen Wallace. Work will be juried from digital images only. Fee: $25 for up to two entries.
