This festive book fair features prints, artists' books, handmade paper, zines, origami, blank books, paper sculpture, and jewelry, all made by local artists. If it's paper-based art, it's here!

Free book-making workshops for all ages will also be offered at the Library the day of the fair. Space is limited - please email events@philadelphiacenterforthebook.org to reserve your spot for a workshop. Walk-ins are welcome for the Kids & Families Pop-ups workshop.

For Adults and Teens:
Hidden Books
11 am-Noon, Room 108
Within every sheet of paper is a hidden book lying in wait. We will discover how to make several of these single sheet structures. You'll leave with samples and the know-how to embed your own content into these functional, quick books!

For Kids and Families:
Pop-ups
2-3 pm, Room 108
Making pop-ups is easy - just cut, fold, and pop! We will explore paper engineering techniques to make cards that jump off the page! Students will learn the basics, including v-fold, layers, and simple tabs, to make your own personalized pop-up creations. Animate holiday cards, build abstract kinetic cards, and more. This workshop is for all ages and levels of experience.

B.Y.O.T.Y. III Book Fair - Registration Open

Calling all zine makers,
the B.Y.O.T.Y Bookfair is almost here.
On October 15th from 12-6PM little berlin is holding their annual B.Y.O.T.Y. Bookfair. Registration is open for vendors at the bookfair, and there are still a few spots available. Anyone who makes books is welcome to participate. Registration for vendors is only $20, don't delay register online!

The 4th Annual Book Paper Scissors Artists’ Book Fair will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4th from 10-4 at the Parkway Central Library. It's free and open to the public. This festive event features prints, artists’ books, handmade paper, zines, origami, blank books, paper sculpture, and jewelry. Free how-to workshops will be held in Room 108 at 11 am (single sheet folded book) and 1 pm (mini flag book).

The 11th Biennial Pyramid Atlantic Book Arts Fair and Conference (November 5-7)presents an exciting weekend of events which will examine the evolution of the book as art and the latest innovations and interpretations of this versatile form.

For the first time, this year's Book Arts Fair will also include a contemporary print component which will examine the print form as an independent medium as well as its relationship to the book.

B.Y.O.T.Y II Book Fair

Little Berlin is now accepting reservations for their 2nd B.Y.O.T.Y. Book Fair. Cost for a space is $20. And if you have no idea what B.Y.O.T.Y. stands for, it’s bring your own table, yo. Last year they saw some pretty interesting set-ups via blankets, crates, found wood, etc. and would like to keep the bring your own table spirit alive in correlation with make your own literature.

Last year they asked all participants to donate a book to help them start their new collection. For the second annual book fair at little berlin they want to make a book. All participants are asked to bring one or two or three or four (you get it, however many) sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper with whatever your heart desires to print, paint, glue onto them. At the start of the day they’ll collect the artwork and throughout the day they’ll bind a book.

no table. Get your own space or share a space. Spaces are available in the gallery, courtyard, and front walk.
(Note: This will be a rain or shine event.)

Part of Little Berlin's incentive to host this event is to start a permanent artist
books collection at the Little Berlin gallery. They ask all who participate to donate one book for their library.

After the B.Y.O.B.Y. BOOK FAIR, submissions can be made year round to be apart of Little Berlin's library.  Artists get a 50% commission at the sale of their book.
